About Me & Range & River

Hi, I’m Ashlee — photographer, mom, community-lover, and professional chaos coordinator here in eastern Montana.

I photograph real people, real connection, and the beautifully imperfect moments that make a life yours.

Range & River Photography started as something that simply made me happy. Photography gave me a reason to slow down and notice the things we usually don't realize we'll miss someday — the way your kids laugh when they forget the camera is there, the look between two people who know each other by heart, windblown hair, wrinkled noses, little hands, big personalities, and all those tiny in-between moments that can't really be staged.

What started as a creative outlet grew into something much bigger.

It became a way to tell stories, connect with people, celebrate this place we call home, and use something I love to put a little more good into the world.

Photos That Feel Like You

My photography style is natural, relaxed, and connection-driven.

You don't need to know how to pose. Your kids don't need to behave perfectly. You don't have to show up knowing what to do with your hands. 😂

That's my job.

I'll guide you when you need it, let moments happen when you don't, probably crack a joke when things get awkward, and do everything I can to make your session feel comfortable, fun, and genuinely you.

Because some of my favorite photographs aren't the perfectly posed ones.

They're the belly laughs.

The quiet glances.

The chaos.

The wind.

The toddler who absolutely refuses to cooperate.

The moments you didn't even realize I caught.

Range & River has grown into more than a photography business.

It's also about people, stories, community, and kindness.

I believe a small business can do more than sell something. It can participate. It can give back. It can make people feel seen. It can remind us of the good happening right here in our own communities.

That's why community projects and giving back have become such an important part of what Range & River is.

Photography captures moments — but kindness creates impact.

So whether you're here for family photos, senior portraits, couples, weddings, an event, artwork, or you simply stumbled across one of my slightly chaotic community projects — I'm really glad you're here.
